Self Esteem Counselling

Suffering from low self-esteem is something we all experience, some more than others. It can stop us from reaching our full potential in life, as we may feel incompetent, incapable or unworthy.

Having low self-esteem can lead to lack of confidence in ourselves and through a tailored therapeutic approach we aim to recognise, improve and overcome this.

Some characteristics of low self-esteem or low confidence include:
  • Social withdrawal
  • Anxiety and/or depression
  • Lack of social skills
  • Low confidence
  • Inability to accept compliments
  • Being hard on oneself
  • Self-neglect and lack of self-care
  • Worrying whether you have treated others badly
  • Overthinking
  • Reluctance to trust your own opinion; self doubt
  • Expecting little out of life for yourself; low self-regard
